Dr Dushyanthi (Dushy) Tilakawardena is a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry with over twenty years experience in the public and private mental health services in Melbourne.
Her specialties include Adult ADHD assessment and treatment, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) treatment for treatment resistant depression, Work cover funded Psychiatric Treatment for Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Depressive Disorder and Anxiety Disorders.
Dr Tilakawardena obtained her fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) after completing basic and advanced training in General Adult Psychiatry at Monash Health. She has also completed a Masters in Psychological Medicine from Monash University. She has formal training in Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treatment (rTMS) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Dr. Tilakawardena is a Credentialled Psychiatrist at South Eastern Private Hospital and works closely with their Psychotherapy Department and provides day admissions to her patients to attend group therapy programmes.
Dr. Tilakawardena also provides assessments for rTMS treatment for private and work cover funded patients. She works collaboratively in a shared care arrangement with Monarch clinic (specialist clinic in rTMS).
Monarch Clinic conducts a treatment clinic for rTMS treatment at MedServ Consulting Suites in Dandenong.
